Marquette volleyball evened their conference record at 2-2 with a sweep of the Midland Eagles.

After two easy set victories for the Mohawks the Eagles tried to rally back into the match. They picked up their play on defense and serve reception. They  matched the Mohawks point for point in the 3rd set until the 20 point mark. The Mohawks ended it with a 5-0 run winning the match 3-0.

The Mohawks used big runs in the first two sets to post easy wins. They were fueled by their serving including a big series by  Brooklyn Moore in a 11-0 run.

 Cal/Wheat 1

 At Wheatland :

A slow start by the Mohawks did not affect the out come of match that will influence the conference seeding. On senior night for Cal/ Wheat  the Mohawks  overcome the noise from a rowdy Warrior student section to win.   They swiped the crowds energy and won in  in four sets.

The Warriors did come  out and win set #1  25-17, setting off a frenzy in an already crazy student section.

The Mohawks quickly quieted the group fighting back from small deficits in set #2, to earn a comeback 25-20 victory.

The win seemed to slow the noisy students and fans down, and slowly swing  the momentum to  the Mohawks as they posted wins in sets #3 and #4  that ended the  match 3-1.  They ended both matches with 4-0 runs .

The win improves their record to 3-2 in conference and 14-12 overall.  The win  will play a role in the seating of the Tri-Rivers Conference  tourney coming up.  With one match left in conference play the Mohawks need a win to solidify a second place finish in the Tri-Rivers East
