At Tipton:

 After loss to North Cedar at home in conference play the Comets reversed the outcome  in Conference tournament play at Tipton High School winning in two sets to advance to the finals of the tournament.    In set #1 the Comets pulled out a 23-21 win and won  set #2  21-15.

 Giana Michels knocked down seven kills, Lindsey Banowetz & Maddie Schmidt 5-each. Brin Daugherty had 12-assists and Taylor Wagner 9. Daugherty had 4-digs and 4 had 3-each.

The state’s second ranked 3A team showcased their talents in blasting the Comets 21-13, 21-2.  The host Tigers 37-3  never lost a set in first round action of the tournament.

Needing a victory to move on in tournament play the Comets rolled past the Hawks 21-13, 21-15.

  Lindsey Banowetz and Lauren Dema each had 5-kills and Aubrie Hager and Giana Michels four each. Brin Daugherty had 16-assists and Taylor Wagner 4. Daugherty had 9-digs and Michels seven for Bellevue. The win moves the Comets to 15-13 with a date in the conference tournament before state play starts at home Tuesday, Oct 16 versus Northeast.

At Tipton:

  In quarter-final play of the  River Valley Conference Tournament the Class 3A 8th rated  Indians sent the Comets home 21-17, 21-14. The loss moves the Comets to 15-14 with a date with Northeast at home on  Oct. 16th in 1st round state play.

  In set #1 the Comets tried to stay with the aggressive Indians and did until the Indians went on a run to win 21-17. They kept up their strong play and Bellevue never came closer than the final score.

  Aubrie Hager had 9-kills to lead Bellevue and Lindsey Banowetz 6. Brin Daugherty had 20-assists, Taylor Wagner 3. Giana Michels had 9-digs.

 Hager and Michels each had 2-blocks. Serves- Tara Linden 7-7, Banowetz 5-6 ace.
