The lady Bellevue Comet cagers were sporting a perfect 7-0 record as of last Tuesday night, when the team defeated Easton Valley at home by a score of 59-35.

Lindsey Banowetz and Giana Michels each scored 17 points to combine for 34 points of offense.

Alyssa Ruble and Sally Paulsen each added 4 points, while Maddie Schmidt, Mariah Hueneke and Audrey Wedeking each scored 3 points; and Kailey Miller and Briana Laughlin scored 2 apiece.

Last Friday, the lady Comets picked up another huge victory at home against West Branch.  Giana Michels scored a game-high 16 points to lead Bellevue to a 46-40 win.  Lindsey Banowetz had 11 points on the night, Theresa Paulsen recorded 7 points, while Kailey Miller scored 4 points. Alyssa Rubel scored 3.

The girls were outscored in the first half 20-25, but came back to outscore the Bears 26-15 in the second half to notch the win.

BELLEVUE BOYS SUFFER LOSSES

The Bellevue boys basketball team suffered another loss last Thursday night at home when Easton Valley downed the Comets 61-47.

Trey Daughtery led Bellevue in scoring with 14 points on the night, while Paxton Felderman added another 13. Andrew Schwartz added 7 points, while Cole Heim scored 5 and Jackson Wagner 4.

Trevor Hager and Riley Konrardy scored 2 apiece.

On Friday, the Bellevue Comets were outscored by 29 points at home against West Branch. The final score was 35-66.

Paxton Felderman led the Comet offense with 13 points. Colby Sieverding scored 7 points, Trey Daughtery 5, and Andrew Schwartz 2. Trevor Hager and Riley Konrardy scored 4 each.
