Donkey Basketball, sponsored by the Bellevue High School Student Council was held to a packed gymnasium on Saturday, March 9, resulting in over $5,000 being raised for the community. Folks laughed and had a good time watching local leaders and teachers try not to fall off the animals as they competed for buckets and points.

Proceeds from the event will fund the student council’s annual Veteran's day meal that is provided free of charge to all Veteran's and their spouses. The money will also provide funds for local organizations such as the Bellevue Ambulance Service, Fire Department, etc. for their support with Operation Prom, Homecoming and other events throughout the year.
