Katie Feltes, a Bellevue native and 2016 graduate of Coe College has joined the staff of the Bellevue Herald-Leader as the new advertising director for both the traditional print edition as well as the newspaper’s new online platforms.
Feltes, who received her bachelor of arts degree in theatre arts and design and technology is a 2012 graduate of Bellevue High School. She is the daughter of Lori Portz-Till of Bellevue and Jay Feltes of Anamosa.
Feltes has experience in digital marketing and social media marketing, as well as print sales.
In addition to her new position, she also occasionally travels the country as a lighting, design and production supervisor and set designer for Uplight Technologies and the Varsity All-Star 2018-19 National Tour; and is a Third Dan Black Belt instructor at Mellennia Martial Arts in Clinton.
“I think with our new online platforms and our recent move into the future of digital products, Katie will help lead us into the next phase of our 150 year-old newspaper tradition,” said David Namanny, editor and general manager of the Bellevue Herald-Leader. “We are excited to be able to reach more readers than ever.”
