The Great River Rumble, an annual weeklong canoe and kayak trip, will take place on the Mississippi River from July 21 to August 7.
The group of paddlers, about 220 people this year, will make their way from just north of Dubuque to LeClaire just above the Quad Cities.
The group will stop in Bellevue and stay overnight on Monday, Aug. 2 and return to the water the next morning to head to Savanna.
While in Bellevue they will camp out at Cole Park, explore the community and eat dinner at local restaurants.
“Our paddlers love Bellevue and are looking forward to another great overnight stay, said Lori Roling who helps organize the event. She noted that the paddlers stayed in Bellevue during their 2010 and 2015 trips.
“Rumblers say they are looking forward to the tractor and wagon rides to the park, the view from Bellevue State Park and, how welcoming the community is to them and the overall hospitality,” said Roling.
This is the 25th and final year for the Great River Rumble, Roling said.
