William Draus, 18, has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout. He is the 36th scout to achieve Eagle in the 33-year history of Boy Scout Troop 86, sponsored by the Bellevue Knights of Columbus (and previously by the LaMotte KCs). The court of honor was held at Bellevue's KC Hall on July 8, 2018.
Draus joined the troop in March 2011. He has earned 21 merit badges along the way and led his Eagle service project at St. Joseph's Cemetery, replacing a row of overgrown evergreen shrubs and trees with four flowering Cleveland Pear trees. A 2018 graduate of Marquette High School, Draus is the son of Andy and Carolyn Draus and is currently a student at the University of Iowa, majoring in Human Physiology.
