Jackson County’s newly elected officials pose together after being sworn in Dec. 29 during the county supervisors meeting. Alisa Smith, left, was elected to her first full term as county auditor after filling the last two years of Brian Moore’s term in that seat. She thanked her employees for their hard work. Mike Steines of Bellevue, right, kicked off his second term as county supervisor. “A lot of decisions are not favorable to everyone, but we do the best we can with the knowledge that we have, and we certainly take all the comments and criticisms,” Steines said. Kilburg took the oath for his first term as sheriff. “I know there’s high expectations, and I hope I can meet and exceed them,” Kilburg said.
